VISIONS service projects in Alaska have always improved and added to village resources. Our service specifically benefits all residents. Projects for this summer have yet to be finalized, but they will most certainly involve carpentry. You might repair and renovate elders’ homes, a community center or local school facilities - or all of these. Past Alaska participants have constructed community steam baths, smoke houses, community centers, fitness exercise trails, bridges, playgrounds, boardwalks for the Fish and Wildlife Service - all are potential projects this season.

Non-construction projects include organizing and supervising activities for local children and working with the Tetlin National Wildlife Refuge on environmental and educational outreach projects.
