VISIONS British Virgin Islands Teen Travel Program

- Tuition: $5,050 (July), $4,050 (August)
- Tortola (high school), Virgin Gorda (middle school)
- Immersion in Afro-Caribbean culture
- Beaches, coves, island mountains
- Snorkeling, swimming, hiking, sailing, scuba diving
- Music and steel drums
- 65 to 95 hours service credit (3 and 4 weeks)

I felt great about the projects I participated in this summer. It was fulfilling to watch the progress we made over the course of [a month]. From this trip I gained incredible fulfillment. Not only did the work projects make me feel immensely proud but also learning about the beautiful island around me was life-changing. I absolutely loved getting to know the island and its inhabitants. I had never been fully immersed in another culture for so long, and I loved it. Having the opportunity to apply myself to helping other people was amazing. VISIONS was an incredible experience, and I plan to be involved in VISIONS next summer.

My husband and I just want to thank all of you at VISIONS for creating the wonderful experience that Lauren just had in B.V.I. Her goal and ours was that she…gain confidence through that experience ... and that this would help prepare her for going away to college in another year. But, it turned out, not only did she merely survive it, she thrived and hated to leave! She has a new air of self assurance and independence about her now that came from stepping out of her comfort zone… We can't tell you how much we appreciate all of the B.V.I. staff who supported her and encouraged her, and also built a feeling of unity in the group that made Lauren feel she belonged to something important. All three of my children have had memorable and wonderful summer trips through VISIONS. Please know that we will definitely be looking for something next summer for Dave and Jessie again. As for Jack, he LOVED his trip to BVI.

One of the best experiences of my life, hands down. I thought it was amazing getting to know all the kids and making new friends. Also the councilors were great, and you got to know them as well. The beaches literally are like something you would see on a post card, and you have the entire beach to yourself most of the time. The fruit is the freshest and best tasting fruit you can get.
