I learned and spoke Spanish in a more conversational way than in school. I liked building the cistern and clearing the mora with the machete, but my favorite part of VISIONS was the close relationship with the community.

VISIONS is so well put together. For me it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I recommend this program not only for community service but also I made friends that I will always stay in touch with, and we made lifelong memories together. The staff was so well rounded and easy to get along with. …they serve as adults keeping you safe but they also become your friend. VISIONS is an easy way to gain community service hours without even thinking about it. You get to immerse yourself in a foreign community and experience a lifestyle completely different from your own. The experiences are rewarding and lots of fun, while at the same time you are doing something good for the world. I wish I could go back!!! I recommend it to everyone.
